Account Permanently suspended

PayPal is by far the worst platform I have been to. Just received the permanent restriction, Reason? They won't tell you. Only reply " ohh Please look for some other platform, Well I'm sure a day would come when their is no one left. The rigid nature of decision making has no place for flexibility, No Arguments are accepted even if reasonable. Always live in constant fear of when you might get the judgement. If you get it receive it gracefully, I mean it's the end of your business journey, unfortunately in my country etsy don't have any other option to receive payment from international buyers, So it's Over for me, Just Writing this to Inform the new sellers who may come , please have some alternatives If possible avoid depending on PayPal or you may get betrayed. Don't trust the support team they don't do anything Just a puppet repeating the same thing.

Everyone who posts on here about being limited always says that they had broken no rules. However Paypal do not ban you for 0 reason. What would be the point? They make far more money from you using your Paypal account than interest on any held money (if you have any).

PayPal does review accounts regularly, and any concerns with security, violations of the User Agreement or Acceptable Use Agreement, compliance obligations, etc., could lead to a permanent restriction. Additional information beyond what would have been provided to you in a notification and/or email would not be available due also to security concerns and due to such information being proprietary....in other words they do not give you an exact reason, they just direct you to the user agreement or acceptable use policy. I guess having a reason wouldn't make any difference if they have permanently banned you.

You are right once they ban someone reason doesn't matter, After All They have the power to do so, A few less Accounts Won't matter to them. But they should consider the Money hold Period which is currently 6 Months It's Too long My 200$ are on hold for the same period and that's a lot for me the shortfall would affect my work very negatively. Written this Post in Frustration how the months of hard work came to an end Without even Knowing the reason. Well Thanks for your Reply Just like how you said I'm Powerless to demand a answer anyway.

They hold the funds for 6 months as that is the timeframe within buyers can still open paypal disputes against any of your past transactions.

Hi, Just Sharing Another Funny Incident with PayPal, After Being Permanently suspended, Waiting for the 6 Months to Pass to receive my money, But Needed to Refund A buyer 22$ But Guess what I can't do so, The Refund option is removed after account suspension. I didn't know What to SO Asked the buyer to open a case thinking this way May I get to refund, But then again I can't do that So, reached out to Customer support, Only then I came to Know That The Situation is Uglier than it seems, Apparently After Account suspension I'm Denied the right to refund my Buyer's, Only PayPal can Do it and Charges for this heavy service an Amount of 18$. Like I said in the Starting My refund Claim was 22$ and PayPal will charge 18$ for this heavy task which I could have done and saved my money. But They will make money ruthlessly even from those who are banned to Use their Services. For all of their Actions the reason given is "the protection of interest of their user's ". But think a little hypothetically, The hold Amount on my account is 200$. If Only Half of the buyers claim their money then automatically the rest of the half will go to paypal as the fee, Then What about the rest of buyers Who if decides to claim their money they can't have it, because their isn't any left . What about their interest. PayPal Only takes care of its interest. I hope this Post help the new sellers who are using PayPal. At last , There's a good news to. Since I used paypal to receive payment for international sales on Etsy. I was Disheartened about how will I continue my business on Etsy, But God is truly Benevolent I Received a mail some while ago, They have partnered with Payoneer to facilitate international Payments, and genuinely Payoneer is way better than paypal as I'm using it For a Year to receive payment against my sales on Ebay. So The message is never loose hope there's always a way.

Just to share something I've learned: PayPal apparently uses people search engines to verify account details. From personal experience, these things are full of outdated and just plain wrong information, not to mention that there are a lot of people with the same or similar names. I suspect that this is why a lot of people are getting banned shortly after creating accounts or arbitrarily during periods of inactivity. It may well be what happened to you as well.
