I had “pre-ordered” a collectible through eBay using PayPal that was due in November. I had did some research on the sellers ratings before I clicked for the sale. Seemed legit. The origin of this item was from a seller in china. About a month later, I received a notification saying the item had shipped which I knew wasn’t correct because the item wasn’t supposed to come out until November. To my surprise, I receive a letter about an order confirmation. Has time passes until November 1 hits, I decide to contact the seller to see if everything was in order, but my surprise the sellers storefront was empty, and all listings have been deleted. So I tried to contact the seller, but nothing. But mid November, I decided to call eBay, but they couldn’t help me because apparently the timeframe had passed to do anything. So I hit up PayPal and file a dispute. Fast forward to now even without all the evidence I presented, PayPal has sided with the seller. Now I have no idea what to do or how to go about trying to get my money back. I’m still with in 180 days so there should be something I can do.

Update: So the first appeal failed even though I had to print out given to me from the United states post office itself, saying that the package was not delivered with that tracking number. So I got in contact with customer service and got it appealed again and hopefully they can make sense of it all.

Would help if you said which dispute you opened > if you escalated to a claim and what happened!!
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

@kernowlass Hi, thanks for responding. So I had originally as “item not as described.” And I sent photos and the letter with the tracking number they had from the seller. So after they close that one and decided with the seller, I hit up PayPal customer service and they changed it to item not received and escalated it. So after that happened, they closed it and still sat with the seller. So then I became frustrated and filed it as wanted to return to seller, which probably wasn’t the best idea. And they close that one too. I was shocked they decided with the seller, even after all the evidence I had presented.
