Has anyone been getting emails from PayPal that claim you made a 480.70$ transaction with BitCoin that will be deducted from your account unless you cancel in 24 hours and it has a number to call to cancel that is not working and Pay Pal does not have the transaction information for it available?

Scam money request or transaction via email or text.

Scammers harvest email addresses and send out money requests or receipts for fake transactions hoping that they will scare you and you will phone a fake number.

If you did call that number (DO NOT) to query the transaction the scammer tells you that they need to access your computer / Paypal account to cancel that transaction for you.
They will then hack your computer or Paypal account.

Paypal never put phone numbers on emails or in money requests/invoices, they tell you to contact them via help/contact bottom of their website pages. Paypal transactions are more or less instant, nothing in your paypal account means it hasn't happened.

Delete and ignore its a common scam.

I did call the number (which I instantly realized was dumb) but it was no longer in service or something was said to that effect. Thanks for looking out!
