If it's the same emails we're getting, they certainly strike me as being suss. My main concern is that the details provided regarding our merchant ID is actually our ID but a search of PayPal's pages mention nothing about an "annual PCI Self-Assesment Questionnaire"

The sender listed on the email header is from 'SecureTrust now VikingCloud'.

A Google search lads me to believe that 'SecureTrust' is legit but the reasoning provided for 'compliance' revolves around storage of payment details.

If PayPal handles that for us, and they should, then I see no reason that we should be contacted by them. As far as I'm concerned, if there's an issue, then PayPal should be reaching out to us directly and I intend to continue ignoring these emails because there's just too many scams, which are only getting more elaborate and convincing, and I see no reason to respond.

Would dearly love to hear PayPal weigh in on the subject...

I have received the same email and am suspicious of it. It would be great if PayPal confirmed its legitimacy.

This response does absolutely nothing to address the issue we are experiencing but rather points us all in directions we've already been or are already versed in. To be blunt; I feel your purported solutions do nothing but lay the responsibility to act, back upon us.

We're clients who rely not only upon the services on offer, but who also need support and positive, proactive and effective solutions and direction when required.

Along with other issues... This is a known quandary that the company has apparently no desire or intention of intervening in.
