How to dispute a dispute

does anyone know how to dispute a dispute? I had paid the wrong person via paypal and opened a dispute for a refund. I have now received a refund but the person who I paid incorrectly has been charged a £12 dispute fee - they have contacted me to resolve and I honestly have no idea where to even start with this? Any help would be be appreciated!

Welcome! Thanks for visiting PayPal's Community Forum. I'm sorry to hear there's some concern around a recent dispute fee that was charged. Unfortunately, there's not a way to dispute the fee from your side of the transaction. The receiver's best option is to reach out to our Customer Support teams to see what options may potentially be available.
