Also I was charged by Fastspring BV without any further explanation. After some research I found out that it was the payment for an SaaS (Software as a Service) annual subscription - either MS Office 365 or Snagit.

At first I was confused and worried by my recent 3.25 fastspring charge, then I remembered buying some online digital game item from Supercell game store for that amount. They really should be more descriptive in where these charges originated.

Why? credit cards don't give you descriptions of what you bought and neither do banks so why should paypal?

In a review of charges to my account I noticed a monthly charge from fastspring. I do not sell anything.

A lot of times what happens is people accept a free trial for a product and forget to cancel. As a buyer you must agree to a billing agreement/subscription before a merchant can take a payment from your PayPal account.
If you don't notice during checkout OR don't cancel then it auto renews. Be careful what you are accepting.
Check if you had a subscription set up and cancel it?
Click on the profile / settings tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > "manage pre-approved payments.''
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
