Is Actitech Ltd linked to a fitness app?

Does anyone know who Actitech are and why they took unauthorised money from my Paypal? Is it possibly a yoga/fitness app I purchased for half the amount (to trial it)and now they are just taking money automatically?!

Hello @KymHardie

Welcome to the PayPal Community! I'm sorry to hear you ran across a transaction you don't recognize. I normally recommend reporting any unrecognized / unauthorized transactions through our Resolution Center. Here's a Help Center article to guide you through that process: How do I report unauthorised PayPal account activity?

Good luck with your case,

Hi there,

Today and yesterday i also noticed attempted payments from PAYPAL *ACTITECH, they tried to make an transaction worth of €48,59 luckily enough i had no money on that bankaccount at that time. I tried to find it back on PayPal but negative... I can't see this transaction at all so i cant even report it in the activity center. While looking further into this I noticed some older card transaction attempts from them back in June and July. Here again, I can't see them at all in my PayPal account. One of their many attempts was even successful and they managed to scam €29.84 from me.

Any ideas what i can do about it? I really don't want to keep blocking my bankcard because of them... Already did that back then.

Hi everyone, So I was in the same position as many of u with this company and after looking into several different ways to rectify this, I found 2 possible solutions! 1. The first thing I done was to call my Bank (in my case this was the HALIFAX) an ask them to BLOCK any further payments to Actitech immediately! I then asked if there was anyone else I could speak to with regards to reclaiming any money already paid to them and was put through to someone else (I’m sorry I don’t remember the name of the dept) who took all the details and then advised me that I would be reimbursed the next day! Infact I received with an hour of this conversation! I have no idea if all banks would do this but it’s certainly worth an ask! If this doesn’t work then ….. 2. Contact PayPal direct with all the info u have on Actitech, dates, figures etc and ask them to open an Investigation into it, explaining there are MANY more people that have fallen victim to this and u may be able to claim some/all of yr money back thru PayPal. I really hope this helps at least some of u get reimbursed! Good luck 😉
