Does anyone know who Actitech are and why they took unauthorised money from my Paypal? Is it possibly a yoga/fitness app I purchased for half the amount (to trial it)and now they are just taking money automatically?!
Yes, linked to several yoga and fitness apps. They managed to get 4 months worth of money out of my account before I successfully cancelled my subscription because they had set up 2 accounts with very similar names but different upper and lower case letters which somehow fooled PayPal grr 😡
I have just seen three amounts of almost 39Euros a month going out from my account via Pay Pal to @Actitech. I signed up for a free trial for a product which was useless. Now I see that the rather large amounts (it was much less in their advertising) has gone out from my Pay Pal account. I have stopped the payments via Pay Pal and actually won't use Pay Pal ever again. I see also that I am not allowed to include my email address in this post.
I was charged when I signed up to receive the 28-day WalkFit app, one of the ads that pop up in Facebook. I know there are several like it, like YogaFit, etc.
Had the same issue. Replied to their email snd the response mentioned “Muscle Booster”. Checked my apps and sure enough had signed up for free trial and didn’t cancel. Open app and found cancel subscription link and cancelled. Not an immediate cancellation and wont cancel until 7/2025. Will have access to the app I never even used during tge trial period until 07/2025
Check if you had a subscription set up and cancel it? Click on the profile / settings tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > "manage pre-approved payments.''
