Is Paypal working with HopShopGo?

I have been using HopShopGo as it is working with PayPal but there seem to be a problem with HopShopGo as all packages delivered and never updated to my assigned suite and no more livechat agent and nobody replying my emails for more than a week. 

I think PayPal should investigate and revert what is happening.

Paypal would not be able to check every individual seller / merchant / company in over 200 countries worldwide that adds paypal to their website to accept payments.

So they give some buyer and some seller protection. However that protection can never be a 100% coverall so you need to read it so you can risk assess your transactions.

They do stop bad companies from using Paypal when enough claims start rolling in.
However they just start over with a new name, so stopping them does not really do anything.


The best thing is to not buy from them in the first place, to recognise them -

1. No return address on the returns policy. The site will look as if its in your country (where they despatch goods from) but they will ask for returns to go back to China (returns depot) at a shipping cost often more than the item is worth.
2. No contact telephone number. if you click on contact the most you will get is webmail or an email address.
3. Rarely company address information.
4. Great pictures of items at bargain prices that turn out to be tat.
5. Fake reviews.
6. Google and you can often see previous company names as they change them once enough claims roll in and Paypal stop them using their services and start over.
7. Send fake tracking numbers to win item non receipt of item claims.

I am having same trouble with HSG. Used for years but now unreponsive. I thought this was a Paypal owned site as you have to log in with PP. I think that theyre letting this company operate without any oversight makes them complicate. Very dissappointed in PP who I used to think had integrity but no longer. Sad day for business!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Have you been able to contact Hop Shop Go yet? I am experiencing the same frustration... Paid for a package to be shipped however its still not moving out of their facility and they have not responded to my two attempts to contact them via the contact us form...

Same problem. Ordered for a shipment 10 days ago and then nothing happens. On their system, it just say processing on the AWB section. Multiple emails with no replies.

Same problems experienced with HSG recently too. I had no idea their service would just disintegrate. I've had parcels rejected, not delivered despite tracking info showing as delivered, and items which arrived 2 weeks ago which are still not assigned to my account.

I only chose HSG as they claimed to be working with/powered by PayPal whatever that means - I've been using them since 2012. Unless I get any resolution in the next few weeks I'll be filling in a claim with PayPal to mitigate my losses. 

I've read comments on their FB page that they're undergoing change of ownership, CS team etc together with their parent co Comgateway. I wish I'd known this sooner to avoid them.

Same here. I have been using them for over 10 years. Never any issues. Ordered for a shipment 10 days ago and they went ghost mode since then. No replies to emails too.

I am having the exact same problem. 3 packages and over $2000 worth of product. All showing delivered but not displaying in my account. Have contacted them 5 times over the past two weeks and absolutely no response. Has anyone had any further update and release of packages?

After logging into my HSG account repeatedly recently, I noticed that 1 parcel which arrived around 3 weeks ago was assigned. I didn’t get any email notification, and 2 other parcels which were delivered via USPS a week ago are now showing on their system. However my FedEx parcels were returned to merchant as address closed. I don’t think the address is open for receiving courier parcels but they are collecting from USPS mail office. No email response from HSG or Comgateway so far.

Yeah. It took them 3-4 days to update in the system. But no emails as they always do.
