Hello,
I am trying to sell a child pram and i gave my email address for the seller to purchase the product. I then received an email saying that the 'seller needed to send an extra £300 to make my account a business account' and upon receipt of the additional funds my account would become a business account. The buyer said he was happy to do this?? He claims to have sent the additional £300 and is now asking for me to return it but there is nothing showing in my account.
It smells like a scam to me. Just want to make sure?

Hello @Veronica82,
Congratulations on your first post in the Community!
I understand you received an email advising you that the buyer needed to send you additional money so you could upgrade your account, and I'm sorry for the concern this has caused. Your instincts are correct, and the information is not accurate. You do not need to upgrade to a business account to receive money, and it's also free to upgrade. You can learn more about common scams in this Help Center article. It is a US Help Center article, but the information applies to everyone. I also recommend reporting the emails by following the instructions here.
I hope this helps!
