received a bag that was not as described. Plastic hardware and brown plastic material. Gave proof of merchant saying metal hardware yellow luxurious high grade leather. Also proof of merchant agreeing goods not as described by WhatsApp message and also saying they agree to refund through paypal. Paypal keep making up excuses why they cant help and refund. Blaming my bank so they can avoid refunding me!!! Would never recommend this service any more, terrible experience. I have been waiting since 9th July and they keep blaming my bank for not helping me with refund.Worst experience and they dont want to help they just want your money. They have the power to do what is right, but they dont want to, trust pilot reviews are shocking too.

Item has to be significantly other than as described to win a claim. You ordered a bag and received a bag, Paypal does not get involved in quality of goods that is why they may have referred you to your card issuer for help.

Another reason may be....did you pay as a guest buyer and not log into your paypal account to pay? If so then you normally have to go through your bank or card issuer.

Lastly if you purchased from one of these China websites that advertise on Social Media then they nearly always send fake as its not illegal to sell fakes in China oddly enough.

Paypal is a payment processor that gives you 'some' buyer and 'some' seller protection. As both parties are Paypals customers then there is always going to be someone not happy with the decision.

Your best bet is to read up on Paypals buyer protection policy so you can risk assess your transactions and avoid anything on Social Media !!!

You do have more legal powers if you have something like a small claims court in your country + you purchased within that country and not internationally?
