I have a recurring charge from a company I never heard of. I have no idea what I am paying for. Have tried emailing in the past to cancel with no response. What do I do??

I've had the same experience with Reya Digital OU. Two payments taken via PayPal, one in October and one in November. I've blocked future payments on my PayPal account, but I don't know how to dispute the moneys already taken, I.e whether I should do this via PayPal or via my bank.

My query of Reya Digital OÜ took me to an advertising company in Estonia. Established 2 years ago. Skinny on the info.

I saw a second "recurrent payment" of $59.99 this morning and said WTH is that? Looked back and saw a $14.99 charge about a month ago. I immediately reported it to PayPal as an unauthorized transaction. Within about 30 min, PayPal sent a message saying it was "consistent with my history and purchases" and therefore they consider it authorized. The message suggested I contact the merchant. I sent a message back to PayPal saying it's not up to them to determine it's "consistent" if I report it as unauthorized. 😡 I sent an email to Reya saying I did not subscribe to anything from them and telling them I want to cancel any "subscription" they have on file for me and that I want it refunded. Then I called the phone # provided - a Delaware area code. A strange ring tone started and a person answered!!! They had a heavy Eastern European accent. I said I had not subscribed to anything, I have no idea what they sell, and I want it canceled and refunded. He took my email address. I asked what the company sells: he said the "Liven" company sells "learning programs" to help people break bad habits and create new ones. Like what?, I asked. He mentioned "Focus toss" (not sure because of hi accent) and "Moodtracker." I said I've never heard of any of it and want it canceled and refunded. He said he'd send in the request. I told him I'd seen many reports of issues with the company and it seems like a scam. That I'd reported it to PayPal and would be reporting it to government fraud agencies. He said he's sorry I view their company that way. 🙄 I then logged into PayPal and said I was dissatisfied with the resolution of my reported issue. That they've done nothing about the issue despite multiple reports about the company. That their security measures are deficient and I will be cancelling my PayPal account , which is too bad because I've used it a lot.

Oh, I forgot a critical point: I had a refund of $59.99 in my account within 10 minutes.

I notice there are many people on here complaining on this PayPal community group about money taken fraudulently from their PayPal accounts by a company about called Reya Digital Ou.  On 12 February 2024 I have had £99.99 taken from my PayPal account by

Reya Digital Ou . I have written to their [Removed] and asked what the subscription is for, and evidence of my subscription.

Their reply is inconclusive.  It just states that I have subscribed.

I know that I have not subscribed to this company.

PayPal Resolutions Centre says this is an agreed transaction.

At the beginning of January I had gone through all my PayPal payments and had written to all companies to cancel all subscriptions immediately after noticing £49.99 taken from my PayPal account by Gentenox Enterprises, another rogue subscription company.

I feel I have a strong case for a refund of the £99.99 taken from my account.

What do I have to do to get my money refunded?

Do it like Jumbo said. Go to the app and click on this setting to delete the app. I don't know what it is called in English. It's somewhere at the bottom. They will ask you to mail. Just say you are very unhappy and did not explicitley allow to take money of that amount. That you are disappointed and that this seems like fraud. That you want a refund. They are cooperative.
