You can't use PayPal anymore

At PayPal, we value a safe community for our customers to do business. We noticed activity in your account that’s inconsistent with our User Agreement and we no longer offer you PayPal services.

Recently, my account was subjected to a permanent limitation, impacting my ability to conduct online transactions.

I primarily use my PayPal account to receive funds from the GoGetFunding platform. Despite my efforts to adhere to PayPal's policies, my account has been flagged. I have already contacted PayPal support, and the matter I guess is currently under review.

I would greatly appreciate any guidance, advice, or shared experiences from the community members who may have encountered similar situations or have insights into resolving account limitations. Your collective knowledge could prove invaluable in navigating this challenge.

Thank you in advance for any assistance you can provide. Your support means a lot, and I am hopeful that, together, we can find a resolution.

Most common reasons for an account limitation are:-

1. You have a previously limited account (temporary or permanent) and you have tried to open a new account and not resolved the issues with the other account first.
2. Using a VPN.
3. Not living in the country where you opened your Paypal account.
4. Being under 18 / minor account.
5. Having 2 Paypal accounts or more of the same account type.
6. Not having your legal name on your Paypal account.
7. Selling items (often virtual or digital) that Paypal consider a high risk of disputes/chargebacks.
8. Using the friends/family option for sales transactions to try and evade Paypal fees and risk of disputes.
9. Too many disputes/claims.
10. Violating their acceptable use policy as per link.

Normally you can't appeal a permanent limitation however if its none of the above reasons then you could try and contact customer services to appeal?

I was collecting funds from a campaign that I had created on the GoGetFunding website, and I believe this could be the reason I inadvertently neglected to address the issue.

Now, I am seeking another opportunity for this pre-approval. Could you please guide me on how to submit the required documents or information?

What if I forgot that I had another old account? Is there any way to prevent the mistake I made?

I am really in need of this account 😪

Hello @meiacuin

Welcome to the PayPal Community Forum!

I'm sorry to hear that your account was permanently limited. You can learn some of the common reasons limitations are placed on our Help Center here. As a full account review is completed before a permanent limitation is placed, they cannot be typically overturned. However, you can request a second opinion by reaching out to Customer Support by selecting 'Contact' at the bottom of any PayPal webpage.

I hope this helps!
