Someone filing a dispute just to get their money back

Someone sent me money to help me out and we had an argument and they filed a dispute saying that they never got what they bought. Only they didn't buy anything from me. I can't provide shipping information because I didn't ship anything because I don't have a business account and I don't sell anything. I have no idea what to do at all.

Then you should have asked them to send the personal payment using the friends/family option.

By accepting a goods/services payment you are selling something and to win a dispute you have to prove delivery of the said 'sold' item.

If you can't then you probably will lose the claim unfortunately.

You can sell on a personal OR a business account as long as the goods/services option is used then its a selling transaction.

The payment was no different than any other payment I've ever received so I'm assuming it was sent friends and family. I didn't have to accept it or anything. And I read somewhere if it's sent as goods and services there is a place in the receipt for entering shipping info and that's not an option anywhere.

Well friends/family payments are only allowed if they are gifts and you are not selling something so be careful you are not receiving that payment type for selling goods/services or you risk your account being limited.

If they had sent the funds using goods/services then they would not have been able to open a dispute for non receipt of item which is what you said they selected as there dispute type???
