Unauthorised payment issue

HI, I signed up for a free one month trial on Avira and a couple of days after cancelled the subscription in order not to be automatically charged at renewal. But a month later I saw 79,95 EUR deducted from my account by Avira for a 6 moths subscription. I opened a case with Paypal and they found the payment is regular. At the same time I wrote to Avira and they replied they can't even find my account, so they are now asking for transaction details and all my e-mail addresses. I tried to verify with Paypal if it was safe to share these information but the browser kept me going in circles, no agent available. I also tried to escalate the case to a dispute but that also kept me going in circles, no way to open a dispute. When I tried to Ask the community I got a message from Avira that it is an unsafe site. Suspecting this could be a security issue I removed my card which I usually use for regular and approved payments so now I can't use Paypal. I also uninstalled Avira completely until further notice from them. The company address seem to be the legit one. Please let me know if you have any advice on how to proceed. All the best

Check if you had a subscription set up and cancel it?
Click on the profile tab (icon next to log out) > Click on payments third option along on the thick blue band top of page > "manage pre-approved payments.''

Hi, thanks for the answer. In the meantime Avira agreed to delete my subscription and refund the full amount. Beside being charged for a subscription I didn't sign up for (though of course there might have been some clauses I overlooked) I found it strange that my Avira account was using a very old email address I haven't used for more than 10 years. I am sure I haven't signed up for the free trial month with that address. Anyway, thanks for the help 🙂
