I need some advice here.
We design and make silicone sex toys and we wish to sell them on our website and then have PayPal as the credit card merchant.
Even though the website has not been launched, PayPal has suspended my account.
My question is, there are other online shops that sell sex products and use PayPal as their merchant, so why can i not do that?
On my website, there is NO nudity at all. Just toys for Adult sexual wellbeing.
So, why is Paypal so rigid for some sellers and not for other sellers?
Thanks

Bit like ''I've been caught for speeding but others speed so why have they not been caught''.
Depending on adult content you were either banned for what you listed OR you did not seek approval first (maybe others did which is why they are still selling)?

I totally disagree with paypal.
I am not selling porn, not selling sexual services etc.
There are zero chances of any charge backs. The customers are told several times that we do not offer refunds etc.
Yet, Paypal thinks that i am running a hardcore porn site, selling pu$$y and more.
Then again, if my turn over was like $500K a month.... i am sure paypal would be there helping me!
Not Happy !

did you manage to resolve the situation? in my case too I was suspended without warning or explanation. I have a brand that sells adult products as do other sexy shops online. I found others that also have nude images and despite this they use paypal

Yes i did.
I actually went through my whole site checking for any violations that i may have made, in text, images etc.
Everything on my site is now so dumbed down that there are zero posibilities for anyone to complain.
Hope that helps ?

so you had to remove images and texts that were not good and they reactivated your account? did I understand correctly?
In my case (I am in Italy) there are no explicit images. As I said before, I visited sites with nude images and people tied up, and they use paypal
thanks!

N o it is not like they were speeding and bah blah ....
The issue is that the Adult market is very broad and as soon as merchants hear that you are in the adult business they run a amile and avoid you and your business.
From one end of the adult spectrum you will have Normal Lingerie.... all the way to hard core porn... Merchants need to come to their senses and understand the Adult market much more clearly without being Judgmental!

Why not just seek approval first as per the acceptable use policy then you won't have issues?
