No one on here, even the moderators can 'view' your account, so all they can advise on this public community forum is for you to reach out to Paypal customer services. You can then ask for a manager if you want to.

However they won't give you a 'reason' for a permanent ban, I guess because it would not make any difference anyway if the ban is permanent.

You just presume you broke rules on their user agreement OR acceptable use policy.

Don't think name-calling and being rude will help you either to be honest.

"You just presume you broke rules on their user agreement OR acceptable use policy."

- Actually, I know I did not. Or do you mean to say that there's another reason my account could be permanently banned, and I should consider that?

"However they won't give you a 'reason' for a permanent ban, I guess because it would not make any difference anyway if the ban is permanent."

- But my permanent ban was temporary, I'm no longer banned.

- It makes no difference? Maybe not to you, but it does to me. If I did something wrong, call me out for it. Give me the reason, it's intuitive.

"Don't think name-calling and being rude will help you either to be honest."

- You think I'm rude? You should've heard the lady with PayPal Customer Service.

I don't to back-and-forth over this, I'll give you what you want:

I'm very sorry for being upset. I didn't mean to hurt PayPal's feelings.

But why won't PayPal admit that they're wrong because I am certain that they are?

This is also false. When I got the message that I was able to withdraw my funds that were being held, they gave me no way to see or withdraw the funds. Whenever you reach out to support about this, they just state that your access is limited…. Even when trying to settle my dispute and attempting to pay back what they stated I owed (literally over an accidental double charge for a whopping $100)… I was not allowed help by the customer support to do so. Instead they held my money and 3 years later are still holding it with no assistance. I don’t get how someone just trying to pay what is owed even after being double charged is considered a danger to the business… especially over such a small amount.

Hello, Bindu

I understand your rules and regulations and Paypal taking these actions against the accounts that have some illegal activities,
but what about the new accounts that didn't have any transactions yet, there is no point in illegal activity, then why is Paypal doing permanent limitations to this new accounts also, I didn't understand this behavior from such a big company, if you are doing these things then how the new entrepreneurs and business persons will grow. Please look into this and update this behavior from your side.

Thank & Regards,
Vishal Gupta

New accounts can still break paypal rules.

Most common reasons for an account limitation are:-

1. You have a previously limited account (temporary or permanent) and you have tried to open a new account and not resolved the issues with the other account first.
2. Using a VPN.
3. Not living in the country where you opened your Paypal account.
4. Being under 18 / minor account.
5. Having 2 Paypal accounts or more of the same account type.
6. Not having your legal name on your Paypal account.
7. Selling items (often virtual or digital) that Paypal consider a high risk of disputes/chargebacks OR items that violate their acceptable use policy.
8. Using the friends/family option for sales transactions to try and evade Paypal fees and risk of disputes.
9. Violating their acceptable use policy as per link.

10. Too many disputes/claims.

My account suddenly became "permanently disabled " I also talked with customer service and they couldn't see any issue. Then all I got was violation of TOS . The only thing I used paypal for was VUDU streaming service. I do believe it is because I have an active social media and promote republican and conservative values on social media.

BINGO!
They did the same to our account, which we use to receive money at our Gospel Music events. Pretty easy to put 2 & 2 together...

I am having the same dam issue. These people refuse to do anything about it. "Oh we can't remove your details for security purposes" Don't give me that BS. My account is being FALSELY accused of fraud, and here you sit doing nothing giving me auto response messages just written under a persons name. I'm extremely dissatisfied and I want this problem fixed immediately, this is obviously a mistake!
