Hello @Sparky38,
Congratulations on your first post in the Community!
I'm sorry to hear your purchase was a different amount than expected. In this situation, the best dispute type is called an Incorrect Transaction Amount dispute. When filing this type of dispute, you'll want to include your original purchase receipt that shows the amount charged was supposed to be a smaller amount. To appeal your current case, please reach out to Customer Support through one of the options on our Help Center here: How do I contact PayPal's Customer Service?
I hope this helps you receive a refund for the difference!

Banbain Trade Co. Limited and PayPal scammed me too. I was shown a final price and they charged $11.24 more to my credit card. Banbain is claiming it was tax. That “tax” was not shown to me before I pressed “pay”.
PayPal sided with them as an “add on” from several different choices. Added “tax” is what Banbain Trade Co. Limited claimed it was to PayPal.
I showed PayPal the FINAL cost they showed me and then the actual price they charged me. PayPal sided with them.
It’s not right! I’m very disappointed with PayPay! What if they added on $100 dollars? Are we supposed to pay whatever they choose to add on without an option to cancel? **bleep**!!!!!!

I encourage you to keep after PayPal to report the company as using unethical business practices. From my own experience and that of others here, the company makes a practices of overcharging customers $15.00 and under. For everyone that contacts them and receives a refund, there are a great deal more who don't realize the theft. Using this illegal theft, the company must make a significant amount of money.
Keep after PayPal to cease doing business with Banbain Trading Company, Ltd. Also, report the company with the BBB. I currently have an open claim with PayPal. When I discovered the theft of approximately $14.00 I requested a refund. I did receive the refund for the overcharge.
However, I then found this thread regarding the unethical business practices by BTC Ltd. I checked my order and it stated the order was in 'processing'. I contacted BTC Ltd., to cancel my order immediately; they sent me on a wild goose trip. Although the order continued to state the order was in processing, 2 days later they finally replied to my numerous messages stating they couldn't cancel the order because the order had shipped.
I filed a complaint with the BBB and PayPal. About a week later I received the BTC Ltd. package. Right on the shipping label it stated my order had shipped 7 day AFTER BTC Ltd., said they couldn't cancel my order because it had shipped. After many frustrating messages to PayPal, they eventually opened a new claim against BTC Ltd., for unethical business practices and fraud, (RE: the overcharge). I still have yet to hear from PayPal or the BTC Ltd. I keep on reaching out to PayPal asking about the status of my claim.
Although they probably have numerous business names with PayPal, the only way to have the BTC Ltd. removed from doing business with PayPal is for customers to file complaints & to keep communicating with PayPal. One more suggestion, PayPal will tell you that the claim has been closed. You need to let them know that you do not accept their decision to close your file and keep at it until they assign another claim number to investigate BTC Ltd. for unethical business practices, fraud & theft.
