I understand you recently received a call from someone claiming they were PayPal, and I'm sorry about the concern it caused. Occasionally, PayPal will call you, but it's typically only to verify whether a transaction was authorized. If you have caller ID, it should also say the call is from PayPal. Whenever you're unsure if it's PayPal, please hang up and call PayPal using the number listed on our website. It's better to be safe than to provide details to a fake company accidentally. If you receive a call from PayPal, they will never ask for full verification details from you. (Your full payment methods or personal identification numbers will never be requested.)
