i ordered stuff from a seller from the UK back in January 2024 and i've been waiting for the seller to post it. she was trusted by many so i didnt think of it as an issue when she kept delaying the shipping. now its 1 day to September 2024 and i still have not received the item. according to paypal, i can only file a dispute if payments are made within the last 180 days and this is clearly well over 180 days. is there anything i can do? it was big money

Unfortunately not, paypal gives you buyer protection for up to 180 days. So on day 179 you should have opened a dispute for non receipt and then escalated to a claim if you did not receive anything.
If you won the claiim and the item later arrived its easy enough to just pay them again but its not possible to open a dispute past 180 days.
If you funded your paypal payment via a card then see if they will help you however it may be too late for them as well.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
