Why PayPal labels are blurry?
The original apparently is vector but by the time you can print, it becomes a greyscale bitmap with blurry edges.
No wonder these barcodes do not scan at post offices and the tracking number has to be entered manually.
Also the text is so blurry that when printed on a laser printer at 600dpi, the black lines are surrounded with small black dots. Especially noticable it is on very small letters in return address.
This forum does not allow to post images so you'd have to press link to see the image.
Here is a PayPal postage label barcode and tracking number zoomed in to 2400%.

And here is how it looks printed on a good laser printer and scanned with a good scanner at similar zoom.

It looks disgusting.
How can multibillion corporation like PayPal not be able pay attention to detail?
It says on a label, 'Post Office - scan the above right barcode'.
What is it, a sarcasm? That barcode is NOT READABLE!
PayPal label is generating wavy zigzagy arrays of machine unreadable dots.
Shame on PayPal.

Nice!
In response to my post, PayPal has compately removed barcode from labels. And changed PayPal logo to eBay logo. To pass the blame.
And that was just when I was about to provide a solution using Photoshop actions. That involves opening pdf at 600dpi, applying levels, cropping and pasting 4 labels on one nice sheet of A4.
Since PayPal devs apparantley are reading these post I will continue my posting with direct addression,
Dear PayPal devs,
Why don't you just leave the labels in a vector form like you do with a Proof of postage?
Look at screenshots how clean and nice is the original and printout at 2400% in the small text at bottom of page.
PDF stands for Portable document format. Portable means that you can transport it without loss of original features. You do not need to convert it into blunt pixelated image to preserve the details. And if you do so, please convert it at 600dpi and not 300dpi as it ruins the label.
Thank you!
David

The barcode wasn't removed, I just printed a non-tracked label.
But I seem to have found a solution.
Do not print labels from PayPal or eBay.
Open account in Royal Mail and link it to eBay.
Download your orders and print from there.
