I sold my tablet on Kijiji website cuz i live in edmonton.
However, this guy contactedme and said he wanted to buy my tablet for his Fiancee as her birthday present.
He offered me CAD $550 (i sold my tablet for CAD$ 400) and it included the shipping fee.
However, i felt a little biy weird cuz he tried to hurry me up every morning around 8:30am

he said he was in New York for business meeting. However, I don't know if its true or not.

he said paypal has already verified the money and they will credit me after i send the package and send paypal back the tracking number.

however I followed what he said and sent paypal the tracking number.
however, the situation went like ... I had to pay for 350 for custom bills and 600 for sth Value added tax and importation charges....

and they are now asking me for 900 for courier service and fuel sub charges..... seriously i do not know if its real or not..
because this guy keeps texting me and his fiancee text me from a foreign number and keeps calling me.
I do not know what to do...
I send all the mail to spoof@paypal.com and report the number to MoneyGram to investigate the problem.
Im scared I cannot get my money back.

Although, i send the mail to paypal to ask if this is a fraud mail and the representitive sent me back and said this is not a fraud mail.....

here is the mail content:

THIS IS A SCAM.

You will get/got a "fake" email that looks as though it is from paypal.....it isn't.

It will say the buyer has paid ...you won't have been paid.

They will tell you that the payment is released when you provide paypal with a tracking/shipping number......this won't happen.

They threaten legal action...have a laugh at that one and ignore it as its rubbish.

Most scams originate from Nigeria and people there cannot even own a paypal account.

Paypal NEVER tell you to send trackable, they advise it for seller protection etc but it is not compulsory.

Paypal NEVER tell you to send an item before the payment is showing in your paypal account.

Delete any emails and ignore the scammers.

You have been scammed sorry.

Why would PayPal tell you to use another payment processor?

I recently was contacted by someone named Gary Porter saying his father passed away and he cannot meet me. I found this to be a little sketchy. I followed along and then he sent me some confirmation using Paypal saying I should mail my laptop to Nigeria.

I quickly realized that this was a scam and cancelled everything and did not mail my package either. Then at 8am the next day, I recieved an email from Sara McCollough (the same email you got). THIS IS A HUGE SCAM!

IGNORE IT and NEVER SELL your goods via courier. Always meet in person in a public place and sell the item. I got lucky but I realized many people didnt!

It is really painful, am a nigerian but am usually sad when i hear this cases of fraud from Nigeria. Now they deny other other nigerian from paypal benefit, its really hard to do any biz transaction here in nigeria.

You make a mistake sending the money, because paypal will never use any other means of payment like courier except their own paypal.

Please next time you receive any kind of mail coming in from nigeria, pleaaaaasee check it well and scrutinize it, and please make serious findings about.

Regards
