Hi, Is this a scam?? I'm a Newbie

Hi I'm new to paypal and this guy wanted to buy my iphone 4 and wants me to send it to nigeria. thats not the issue. The issue is that when he sent the funds the email said weird stuff. also, all paypal stuff usually ends up in my inbox but this ended up in my junk. 

It saying I have to put the tracking # in before I get my money. Is this legit or scam?

if the funds are legal ull see it as a trasaction on ur paypal account, some emails are fake so just log on ur paypal and check if you have it.

I have seen this a couple times... I called PayPal... The guy said it IS a scam ... only ship items AFTER you see the funds transfered to your account!!
