I used paypal yesterday to pay for an item as the seller only had the option to use paypal. Since I have never needed to use a paypal account, I opted to use my debit card instead. On the sellers website, the transaction is still listed as 'awaiting paypal payment'. How long does the process typically take? I presumed it was instant? I have a receipt number and all that so I know it worked. I think.

Payment times can vary from almost right away to a few days. System activity can also factor in, sometimes the system is processing slow other times normal. As you paid using a Debit Card, one would not think it take more than a day at the most. If the funds were transferred direct from your bank account instead of using the card, it could take 2 to 4 days. (The card should be much quicker.)
