Is this a scam?

Hi, I recently requested money of someone for a item I was selling on ebay. He asked me to send a money request through paypal, with him giving his paypal account email address. I sent the request and he made the payment but it's not showing up on my paypal account. I received an email saying I had received payment from this person, but not sure if it's a real email from PayPal or not. I have requested money from people before, and it had appeared straight away in my account so I'm not sure why this one was not the same. I have read the email (without clicking any of the links), here's a screenshot of the email:

Not sure what to make of this. Should I ship out the item or not. Will Paypal release the funds when I do send the item? To be honest it looks really fishy to me. I presume it's a scam as I couldn't find the transaction as well.

Can I get advice please. Don't know who to contact as it's confusing checking out the help section.

Thanks in advance

Can't read that too small but read this as i think its defo a scam  >>>

 A TYPICAL PAYPAL SCAM.

They encourage you to use paypal and often ask you to invoice them or send them a money request rather than them sending you the funds via send money > goods etc so that they can pretend they have paid.

They often ask you to send the item as a gift to a relative somewhere often Nigeria.

You will get a "fake" email that looks as though it is from paypal.....it isn't.

It will say the buyer has paid ...you won't have been paid.

They tell you the payment is pending BUT if its pending it would still show in your paypal balance with pending by it..........this one doesn't.

They will tell you that the payment is released when you provide paypal with a tracking/shipping number......this won't happen.

They also threaten legal action...have a laugh at that one and ignore it as its rubbish.

Paypal NEVER tell you to send an item before the payment is showing in your paypal account.

Paypal NEVER tell you to send trackable, they advise it for seller protection etc but it is not compulsory.

Paypal NEVER expect you to use a rival money transfer service. ( with the large item / car scam ).

Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.
