Money sent to a friends blocked account. Options?

I have sent money to a friend in another country.  His account is now blocked.  He cannot withdraw the funds i sent.  WIll he get the money eventually?   If not, when will I get the money i sent returned to my account?

Depends how you sent the payment, you need to give more info than that.

i sent the payment from my regular Paypal account which has a balance i add to from my checking account.

the account of my buddy in another country is now blocked.

My question is two-fold.

1) out of curiousity will he ever get the money that i sent?  (if so, any idea how long the delay might be?)

2) if the account remains blocked permanently, when can i anticipate a refund to my balance?

Hey ok52us2000,

It depends on what the situation is with the payment. Your best option is to ask your friend to call PayPal. If they call us, we can give them information in regards to why the payment has been placed on hold and how they can get the funds released. 

If there is nothing that we can do, there is a possibility that the funds could be held but if your friend calls us, we will be able to give them specific answers to their questions.
