Problems making online purchases...

Good morning,
It appears to me that PayPal is having some intermittent issues. Last night I tried to make a purchase on Toys R Us online. When you click the PayPal link to make the payment it would send you to the PayPal site as usual where you enter your password. However, once you do this you get sent right back to Toys R Us showing the order for with the pay using PayPal button again. I never got the option of actually sending the money to complete the transaction. I did this 3 times last night.
Now this mornng I tried to make a purchase at Barnes & Noble online. When I get to the final order checkout with the PayPal button to click, it doesn't do anything after clicking. It never even sends you to the PayPal website at all.
Up to this point I've never had any issues at all with PayPal and shopping the retailers online. I'm doing nothing different and I've tried on multiple computers. It's not an issue on my end nor does it seem to be an issue on the retailers end because it's now multiple retailer websites with PayPal problems and the transactions can be completed with them using credit cards.
Anyone else experiencing this type of thing? Perhaps their servers are experiencing problems because of holiday shopping volume.
Regards,
Chris

What does that mean? Are they going to fix it or will we no longer be able to pay with a credit card?

What sort of B.S. do they think they can feed us? I just got an email saying that my bank account doens't have enough money in there so that's why the payment isn't working...........Just transfered over $2000 last week from savings to checking, the card I use, so yelp, there's money! Checked with the bank and sure enough, there's money. Yet I can't make a payment with paypal today because I don't have the funds to cover the $5.99 purchase.

I had a problem this morning with Kmart. I went through the checkout process, logged in to PayPal, and the payment was submitted, however, the order wouldn't complete. Everything sat in my cart. I got the email notification from PayPal stating that I sent money to Kmart, but Kmart has no record of the order. The status does say Pending, however. Does that mean that it will sit there for a period of time before it's automatically cleared as unclaimed?

I have the same or similar problem, have tried for three days now to pay for an E-bay auction. When I click on "check-out" everything seems fine, I get redirected to Paypal, log in succesfully, and get a "good" message,
Thank you for your purchase bla bla bla, but the payment is not done, and I get no e-mail, no error message, nothing.

I had the same problem with kmart tonight. What happened with yours? Mine was debited from paypal several times. I spent a great deal of time trying to figure this out with Kmart folks who were no help. Did you get your $ back?

It's been 6 days, and the transaction is still sitting there saying "Pending". No money has left my bank account, though, so that's the positive.
