UPS can't verity my account info? HELP

I have never shipped ups before, but decided a while back to try it. Some of my larger items I have listed as shipping ups. I have a ups account.
Tonight I went to print my first ups label and when I selected to print a label in my ebay, I was suprised it took me to the paypal site not ebays new labeling screen.
UPS shipping came up in paypal like the old labels used to and when I went to move to the next screen an error message came up at the top of the window in a long yellow warning box saying ups was having trouble verifiying my account info.
It said I should call the "pick ups" number for help. Of course there are no humans there and the options they offered did not apply to my problem. Paypal has my correct ups account number.
I am frustrated, because I don't know what else to do. I am supposed to be qualified for the special ups/ebay seller rates and now have to access. I have SEVERAL items listed as shipping ups and am wondering what kind of mistake I have made here. Any suggestions? Thanks.

I am having same problem. I did not know I had a UPS account no in paypal profile and created an account in UPS. It still will not let me purchase and print a shipping label. Says the information does not agree. It does and I have gone back and tried to reenter to be sure. When I found the prior account no for UPS in paypal, I tried entering that in ups and they do not recognize it. I deleted that in paypal and entered the new UPS account....still says info does not agree. When I look at what they have and what paypal has, they agree!@!!@!@ I have spent 2 hours trying to get this 1 label to print. Guess I will have to take the info to the UPS drop off at Staples and purchase the shipping label there.
This should be a simple process! Do not understand why it is not. Do not understand why there is not a human available to help thru this.

I'm having the same problem as the prior post. I can't print a UPS label. The Paypal error message indicates the account information does not match. ????? I've checked my profile and can't find any error.

SAME here....
I have had a UPS account and paypal for years, all of a sudden I am getting this issue and it is a huge pain. Nothing is different between my paypal and ups info; address, name, phone number, everything is exact. Yet the error:
The contact information you submitted does not match the information on file for your UPS account. Either update your UPS account information by visiting www.ups.com or update the information below.
STILL APPEARS, every time I try to ship something.... so I have to do it through the ups site, which works, but is a waste of time. So why have the shipping setup through paypal if it doesn't even work!

Welcome to the forums!
We were having issues yesterday with connection to UPS and this has been resolved. If you are still experiencing issues I would recommend the following:
Depending on which Profile View you have on your account, one of these sets of instructions will match what you see.
- First, log in to your PayPal account and go to Profile > Selling Preferences > Shipping Preferences and then click "Remove UPS information". Review "Remove UPS Account Information" and click "Remove."
- Then click "Add new or existing UPS account information" and select "I do not have a UPS Shipping Account" under "Choose Account Type".
- Enter your information, click "Continue", confirm information, click "Continue", review and agree to the UPS Shipping Agreement, and "Save".
Or
- Log in to your PayPal account and go to Profile > My selling tools
- Click "Update" next to "Shipping preferences."
- Follow the instructions to remove your expired UPS account and create a new one.

Thank you for tips but no luck here. I've had UPS and PayPal accounts linked for over year, then they stopped working.
Removed UPS info from PayPal, tried multiple times to re-link. Have double tripled quadruple checked and re-entered matching information on both UPS and PayPal. This has been going on for two months, over the holiday selling season, and while, eBay shoves US Postal Service label printing in our faces. This is insanity, frustrating, time-wasting, and disruptive to my sales. I don't know what else to do, it seems I am being forced to look at options from other payment providers.

When you were trying to re-link, were you re-linking with an existing account or creating a new one? If you were using the first set of instructions in my previous post, it explains how to create a new one. If your profile view matches the second set of instructions, add the following steps at the end of what I have listed there:
3. Click "Remove UPS Information", review "Remove UPS Account Information", and click "Remove".
4. Click "Add new or existing UPS account information" and select "I do not have a UPS Shipping Account" under "Choose Account Type".
5. Enter your information, click "Continue", confirm information, click "Continue" review and agree to the UPS shipping agreement, and "Save".

Actually it still doesn't help.
I never had my UPS account linked to Paypal, and only tried today for the first time. Everything on my UPS account matches exactly to the information I put into paypal and it still comes back saying it can not verify my UPS account. My UPS account is used on a nearly daily basis so it is not expired.

My problem is similar. I've had a paypal account and shipped UPS for several years. Over the holidays, I had a package damaged and had to give a partial refund for broken items.So far,no problem.
The problem is I can't file a damage claim to recover my costs, because ups won't recognize my account. I can still print shipping labels,but I am At a loss as to how to get Reimbursed. The package was definitely damaged, I have all the documentation I need,but still I am hitting abrick wall.
Maybe the solution is just not shipping through paypal anymore? Inconvenient but safer?
