Cancel payment

Hi, I sent £70 to my friends old PayPal account by mistake. She doesn’t use this account anymore. I contacted PayPal but they haven’t done anything and my friend is not sure she can get back into the old account? Any ideas?

If it shows as SENT then it has successfully transferred to the email address you sent it to that is linked to an active paypal account.

So your best bet is to ask her to contact customer services and get them to help her access the paypal account again.

If she has forgotten the password there is a forgotten password option.

HOWEVER if its showing as unclaimed with a cancel option then cancel it OR if there is not a cancel option but still shows as pending/unclaimed it would time out at 30 days and go back to your funding source.

Thanks, she did contact them and got her password reset so all sorted 🙂
