Cannot pay Uber and Lyft with my PayPal account

I have a PayPal account with a confirmed card, but when I tried to use my account as payment for both Uber and Lyft, both say that there is a problem with my payment method (being PayPal). Is it region restriction or something? (For context I am traveling to the US but my PayPal account is Indonesia)

Paypal is country specific so you can't use a country specific paypal account in another country without hitting problems.
