Welcome to the PayPal Community! I'm sorry to hear you've run into some issues payment timeframes recently. Normally, when you make a payment with a debit or credit card, you should the transaction charged to your debit or credit card almost immediately. Even if there's an authorization where the funds need to be captured later by the merchant, the authorization should show right away on your debit/credit card's end. If the transaction is funded by instant transfer with your bank account / routing number, then the charge would normally debit the bank account within a business day.
