How do I add money from a linked prepaid gift card WITHOUT linking a bank account?

I have linked a prepaid giftcard to my paypal, however it shows balance is 0. When I try to add money it only lets me have an option to link a bank account. I do not want to do this, I want to add funds from my giftcard to my account. How do I do this?

It’s not possible to extract funds from prepaid gift cards. You don’t need to add money in order to pay with PayPal anyway. Select the prepaid gift card as payment method during PayPal checkout.
