Is there a way to split payment amongst credit cards

I have a gift credit card in file in PayPal that I’d like to use up, but if a transaction amount exceeds its balance I’d like to just make up the difference with another card on file. Is there any way tk do this, and split the transaction between two cards?

If you see the Split toggle button option during checkout, yes.

Thanks but this implies that if I DON’T see that option on screen for a certain Merchant that it’s not possible?
