Paypal payment not showing in activity and no conformation email?

Can anyone help me, a payment i made on a website isnt showing in activity? I didnt get a paypal email after payment was made either? I got an email from the website after order and it said thanks for your order and paypal payment ect, but nothing shows in paypal, ive never had that problem before.

Update: Couple things. If you made a purchase or sent payment by Express Checkout or Guest Checkout- It will not show under your Dashboard / Activity. It's not technically connected to your Log-in. The next step- finding out if we can link the account with the transaction type. Not sure if this is a bug or an intended function. But, that's the basics. To be continued..

Its a strange one, not sure if its an error on paypals end, never had a problem like this before, been useing PayPal for 15 years, I've emailed the seller to see if its showing up on there end.

Did you log into your paypal account to pay via checkout OR did you pay as a guest buyer using a card directly?

Yeah i checked out as guest so it took me straight to PayPal to pay by debit card, then returned me back to there website, I didn't even get a PayPal email with receipt, which worries me a bit, and there's nothing there in my PayPal account.

If you bought something online with a debit or credit card and didn't log into your Paypal account then of course it won't show on that Paypal account because you bought as a guest buyer.
However your seller may have processed that payment using their Paypal 'card reader' and so Paypal would show on your bank or card statement.

You don't have Paypal buyer protection cover as a guest buyer but you can contact customer services and they may be able to assist you by reaching out to the seller for you. OR you could try opening a Paypal account with the card used to fund the guest transaction and then adding the reference number as per email to add the transaction to your Paypal account.
So If you need help for a guest buyer transaction then you can;

1. Phone Paypal customer services and see if they will help you.

2. Contact your card issuer for a chargeback.

OK thanks for the info, I did log into my PayPal account though when the website redirected me for payment, so i logged in and clicked pay now (so it took it off my debit card), then I got redirected back to there website for order confirmation, the strange thing is though I didn't get a payal receipt email, and there's no records whatsoever in my PayPal account. So what I've done now I've asked the seller to cancel it altogether, they have said that they have voided the payment, so PayPal should return the money back to my bank account, but I've not got any PayPal email or anything showing with that either, will the money go bank into my bank if there's nothing showing in Paypal? Its like its invisible.
