Personal Bank Account to PayPal Transfer Issue

Hi

So i've tried transfering money from my bank account to my PayPal wallet.
Didn't give me any errors, the money has left my personal bank account, it's been 2 full business days.
Still don't see anything in my PayPal wallet. Should I be more patient or start getting worried?

My biggest concern is a bit more tricky. Anyone who cares to read and share his/her thoughts, be my guest.
I have a very old PayPal which i've lost access to a loooong time ago, i'm talking 15+ years here. PayPal still recognizes the emailadres so im guessing it's still active or atleast still exists. There I paired my (current) bank account (Link a bank).
Now in my current PayPal account, i have paired my bank card (Link a card) from this same bank account, because i couldn't use the "Link a bank" to this same bank account because PayPal tells me this bank account (Link a bank) has already by linked with another PayPal account (my old account).
But it will let my "Link a card"  (Of the same bank account that is already used) to my current PayPal account.
So far this has been working without any issues.
Last week i wanted to pay a pretty big amount of money, PayPal didn't want to accept this card (probably because i went over the limit or something).
Sooo i was thinking, i will transfer the money to the PayPal wallet and then try to pay this (bigger) amount again.
So in order to be able to transfer money from your bank account to your PayPal wallet, you need to "Link a bank". I have another bank account these days shared with my wife (it holds both our names) and i succesfully (status: Confirmed) linked this to my current PayPal account.

Now the interesting part:
I transfered using my bank app from my personal bank account to my PayPal wallet.
Could it be possible the money was transfered to my old PayPal account?

I simply entered the transfer information supplied by PayPal but (stupidly) sent from the bank account (Link a bank) that is connected to my old PayPal account.

Hence, does PayPal use the "link a bank" (connected to PayPal account) as reference to what PayPal account the money goes?
In other words: Does PayPal sent the money to the PayPal account linked to the bank account number that is linked to it via Link a bank?

Sorry for long post.
Thanks for your input

Hello @HighSm0ke

Welcome to the PayPal Community! I'm sorry to hear there's been some confusion regarding a recent bank transfer to your PayPal account. Just to make sure I understand - It sounds like you have an old account, a new account, and you're looking for a transfer initiated from your bank that isn't showing on your new account - is that right?

If you entered the direct deposit information from the new PayPal account into the banking app, the funds should go to the new PayPal account. Normally, it shouldn't take longer than 4-5 business days to complete the transfer from your bank to your PayPal account. If you don't see the funds in that time-frame, I'd first reach out to your bank to see if they can pull that transfer back to your bank account. They shouldn't have an issue pulling those funds back, but if there's any hiccups you can reach out to our Customer Support teams to look into that transfer as well as see what options are available to close the old account.

Good luck!

Hi Jonk Since this post i've been hanging on the phone with PayPal. What i expected happened, had actually happened. The money was in my old account. This means i doesn't matter what u info you enter, the money goes to the account that is linked with the bank account (Link a Bank). Anyway long story short, i regained access to the old account thanks to PayPal customer's service. The account then got permanently limited for some reason and the only way to get my money back was to wire it back to the bank. If my money is back by next wednesday, all will be fine.
