Refunded a friend - Still pending after two weeks

Hi everyone,

A friend helped me out a little while ago and sent me money. A litttle under two weeks ago, I've refunded that money to him. A day later, the money was taken away on my bank account but, it's still written as "Pending". 

It's been 13 days and nothing has been done so far and now he's the one in need.

Is there anything I can do? Why is this taking so long? This usually takes a few days if not immediately!

Hmmmm. Well, a few different factors... It depends on the amount you sent at once, what type of account you have and what type he has.Your daily/monthly limit to receive and send money. Your Account could be frozen due to you sending or receiving a big transaction at once. If it appears that you dont use PayPal often it will flag PayPal. My friend account was flagged and she did know it, and it wasn't bc she received $1,000. We think it was bc she Tried sending the full amount of $1,000 to another account Immediately after receiving transaction. She had a couple hundred dollars in PayPal account before receiving the 1k, PayPal froze her account in the same day. PayPal didn't reply to her messages or anything when she asked them what was going on.. smh. A friend of hers did something to unfreeze her account. Idk what tho. And they Froze which they don't tell you.

Well that was 2 x $30... And both of them are frozen.

I do understand your concern about pending refund in your account. Pending refund in your account means the recipient has issued the refund, but the money hasn’t cleared their bank. It usually takes up to 7-10 working days for a refund to complete. The payment would have been debited from the bank account. The funds are then held by the bank in an automated clearing house while they process through the bank's system to PayPal. If the refund still pending after the time frame, please reach out to your bank for more details.
