Sent my friend money 2 weeks ago (in person) and he never received it

As the title says , I sent money to my friend over 2 weeks ago and the money left my bank account but he never received the money. I was with him in person when I sent it and he didn’t receive it so we thought we’d give it a day or two but he still hasn’t received it, it was sent to the correct account and he has shown me all his recent transactions and my money wasn’t there. How can I or my friend get the money that was sent or find out what happened to the money?

What does it say next to the transaction in your paypal account ie SENT or UNCLAIMED or PENDING?

Double check the email address you sent it to and make sure there were no spelling errors or typos.
Also does it say uncleared on the recipients side and if not then has he confirmed his paypal email address.

It was definitely the right email address as I have sent money to his account before and I selected his name from the “send again” section. The transaction is not even showing on his account and he has confirmed his email address.

Selecting a name instead of using an email address can lead to errors, as i said go on to the transaction and check the email address you used.
