Unable to make payments on Patreon

Hello, I'm  a new user to Paypal and to Patreon, I was able to link my bank account and debit card to Paypal but I am unable make payment / pledge on Patreon
I received an email from Patreon stating :

Sorry! Your payment to _________________ did not go through.

There was an issue trying to process your payment on Patreon.

This can sometimes happen if your card is expired, no longer valid, or has insufficient funds.

In some cases, the issuing bank may have blocked the charge, in which case you’ll want to reach out to your bank or PayPal directly to make sure everything is accurate and nothing is blocking the charge.

I've already contacted my bank and they said that all is clear, meaning I've done the necessary steps to make a purchase online thru Paypal.
So now I want to know what is the problem. Please Help.

Me too! the weird thing is that January and February have no issues. this is the first time i got issue.

This started for me since January. Patreon sends me emails that I haven’t paid. I contacted PayPal and I got the usual automated replies.

I contacted Patreon and they tell me to switch to a credit card and not PayPal...

I accepted the terms on Patreon to pay with PayPal method. If this method suddenly stopped working it’s not my problem.

I also have a written statement from one of my bank’s representatives that my card linked to my PayPal has no issues too.

Now I will just wait. I can’t do anything else anyway.

I'm from India too. Didn't face the issue since April, and suddenly Patreon refused to accept the payments. Apparently paypal won't do anything, so have to figure out something else.

Hi, I have the same problem sins last month. I already contacted PayPal about it because I also had a problem with the payment in the Apple Store. They said that I should try not to pay with my bank account but with credit for my PayPal account. It worked with the problem in the Apple Store but I have not tried in on Patreon maybe this helps.
