Why is currency conversion applied to invoice amount without my consent. I want to be billed in the original invoice currency and not paying the high conversion fees.

When paying with a credit or debit card via PayPal account, there’s an option to select the card issuer to do the conversion for you. Note: There might be some cards where the option is not available. Or tell PayPal customer service to set a card to always charge it in a certain currency so you don’t have to select they currency you want to pay in every time you pay with the specific card.

PayPal always does the conversion when you pay with PayPal balance or bank account.

I understand that you want to update the currency conversation preference for your recurring payments. You can select the currency conversion preference when you set up a subscription payments using your card. To set up this preference, follow these steps:

  1. Click the Settings.
  2. Click the Payments tab.
  3. Click Manage automatic payments.
  4. Select the automatic payment you wish to update.
  5. Click Bank Or Card On File beside 'Payment method'.
  6. Click See Conversion options next to the affected card.

Please note that the updated preference you select remains in effect for future subscriptions funded with the same card.
