wondering what INCENTIVE means?

I have recently made two transactions and both have been paid for by paypal under 'incentives/special offer'
its great if they are being paid for but im unsure how and why these have come about. i dont seem to have earned credit or my dashboard doesnt indicate im eligible for offers - just wondered how much the incentive is and for how long.
has anyone else had this?

This sounds like a good problem to have!

PayPal offers incentives and promotions. These can be found in the Wallet section on your PayPal account. Emails are sent to inform account holders of any incentives or promotions available at that time. An email is usually sent if the account holder qualifies for the incentive or promotion. If you've sent payments and it's reflecting you paid with an  "incentive/special offer" that means you had a valid incentive that was applied to your payment.
