Bank transfer lost between paypal and Trade Republic

Hello there,

I got a pending issue with a paypal balance transfer to trade republic.

My story:

 

I got 390€ left as balance on my paypal account and thought about moving my funds to my trade republic account for the 4% interest.

Thought that I could safe a step by transfering the funds directly to my trade republic account instead to my personal account and so over.

I added my trade republic bank account as receiving account and transfered the funds. A day later, I received an email from trade republic declining the bank transfer due to being unable to verify that the payment was coming from me. The 390€ have been transfered back to paypal one day later.

Sadly, paypal didnt associate the returning bank transfer with my account and the funds are lost somewhere in paypal's guts.

 

What can I do? The standard paypal support doesnt want to understand what my actual issue is and told me to wait, but the bank transfer was over a week ago...

Welcome to PayPal's Community Forum! I'm sorry to hear you've run into some issues with a recent transfer out of your PayPal account. Normally, declined transfers are credited back to your PayPal account within 7-10 business days. If you do not see the funds transferred back after 10 business days, please reach out to our Customer Support teams to see they can initiate a trace.

Hi, Also i am missing a significant amount of money. I provided paypal with all the evidence and screenshots that the money has been reverted back, but paypal does not take any responsibility. Every customer service advisor is telling something different. Some say it takes 7-10 days others say 30 days?! We are already reaching 30 days and my emails to customer service stay unreplied. Can someone please support please?

Hi, Paypal was unable to help me. The money has been transferred back and forth by TR and PayPal. I wrote several emails to Trade Republic and after several weeks I received a bank transfer from TR with the subject „please do not use PayPal“ and my missing money.

Since I’m not getting any response by Trade Republic.. to which e-mail address did you write to? Maybe that’s the problem… Idk

I have the same problem. I transferred my balance in PayPal to a digital card in one of the banks, and when it was late in receiving it, I contacted the bank. They told me that the bank’s system does not receive amounts from PayPal,,, and PayPal says to contact the bank. PayPal does not understand my problem that the bank’s rules do not receive payments. Any transfers from PayPal, did you find a solution to your problem?
