I understand your concern about the Gift Card balance. There isn't a way to add your gift card balance to your PayPal account balance. If you have a Visa or Mastercard Gift card, the best way to go about your purchase would be to link your gift card to your PayPal account through your wallet first. Once linked, you can then checkout through PayPal and select your PayPal balance as your payment method. You can choose your purchase through a funding source which can be your gift card.
