Can't Transfer From Gift Card in Wallet to Balance

I have a Visa gift card added to my account. The remaining balance is $2.22. I would like to transfer that money off the gift card and to my PayPal balance. When I try to do so, I'm able to go through most of the steps. I click "Transfer Money," Choose "Add Money from your bank or debit card," input $2.22, select "in seconds with debit," select my gift card. but then it stops working. The button on the bottom says "Add $0.00 Now" and, if I click it, I get an error message (even though at the top it still says $2.22). I am 100% certain I have the balance on that gift card. Any ideas what I can do?

You can add a gift card a lot of the time and spend the funds from that card, but you can't add it to your balance.
