Can't withdraw money to my bank

Long story short, I live in Japan and have recently started getting my salary via PayPal. Every time I try to withdraw it to my bank account I get an ACH error even though my info I enter matches my bank account info.

The name on my registered PayPal account is, let's say, Jon Smith. But my bank account is registered under the Japanese version of Jon Smith (which I can't write here for some reason. Thanks, PayPal) And that's how I wrote my name on PayPal's transfer request form.

Is this why my transfer is failing? I can't write the name on the transfer as Jon Smith because it requires me to write it in kana. But I also can't change my PayPal registered name to Sumisu [Removed] because the info I used to confirm my identity -- passport, etc -- is written using the alphabet.

So. What do I do? Please help. I'm in real trouble if I can't withdraw this money.

Check the info in the link especially the limits at the bottom to make sure its not an issue.

Secondly are you trying to withdraw in local currency and have you added and confirmed a bank account on your paypal account.

Lastly are you withdrawing to a bank account or debit card, info on that in the above link.

How do I withdraw funds from my PayPal account?
