Error when friends try to send me money

Friends have recently tried to send me money via my PayPal email address but it keeps declining. One message was ‘the country you are trying to send money to can’t receive this payment. But I’m set up in uk with uk debit card and Uk bank account. Im very confused. Please help

Are your friends sending you funds in your currency or another?

Yes I’ve had my account for years and pay thing regularly from it. It’s only when people try to send me money recently.

And yes my friend is trying to send me funds in my currency GBP and I’m Based in uk too

Yep that sounds weird then, maybe reach out to customer services?

Contact options for each countries Paypal customer services are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.

1. Paypal phones (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, (during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out).
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
