Original amount $625 sent via Facebook Metapay,(debit card) accepted through persons FB messenger connected to PayPal October 15,2023. October 16th,2023 this payment was refunded via chat bot from pay pal with a confirmed transaction number. Metapay sends us back to PayPal, PayPal sends us back to Metapay, the bank has denied the dispute, I AM IN CONTACT WITH THE SENDER. We’ve called, emailed, disputed, and someone is sitting on $625 now for 43 days. Which legal direction do I need to take this ? or what person in @paypal can actually do something, aside from give some same “read this link” BS that’s not resolving anything? It’s been plenty of time for any transaction to be refunded. It’s straight robbery at this point and I’ve read that I’m not the only person that this is happened to! Help.

Contact options for each countries Paypal customer services are accessed by clicking help/contact bottom left of Paypal pages.
1. Paypal phones (you can use the guest option if you can't log in).
2. Live chat is also randomly available.
3. You can send them a message, (during business hours you may also be able to message whilst logged out).
4. Have you considered contacting Customer Service via Facebook or Twitter?
You can send them a private direct message via Social Media on Facebook, Twitter/X, or Instagram pages.
Advice is voluntary.
Kudos / Solution appreciated.

Please tell me you got this figured out? Because I'm going through the same thing with a $200 transaction that just seemingly disappears and it's been a month and I can't get anywhere

I also have been dealing with this since September 28. I sent my fiance $89.47 via meta pay. Her PayPal was linked to her meta pay, the transaction was taken from my bank account, sent to her PayPal account where it was cancelled immediately. PayPal told us it was returned to meta pay @ my name however the money never returned to my account. I contacted meta pay and they said they are unable to receive a returned payment. I contacted PayPal and they told us to wait 30 days and they could see where the money went. On day 30 we called PayPal and they claimed that since it was canceled they can't see where the money is at even though previously they claimed they could. My bank did its job and sent the money, meta did its job and sent the money, PayPal "cancelled" the payment and now my money has disappeared and it's been impossible to get any answers. This is a PayPal problem! If meta denied the "returned" cancelled payment, then the money would have went back to PayPal after meta not accepting the return. Its absolutely astonishing that this is a problem. I see its become a regular problem for many. Where is everyone's money PayPal?
