I am sorry to know that your customers are having issues processing payments. When there's an error there would be various reasons for that are responsible for this issue. If the 502 error appears then, there is a chance that the web browser contains outdated and corrupted files. In this situation, the customer have to clear cache and cookies from the browser to fix this error. If not, they may have to switch the browser. For example: From Explore to Chrome.
