How do I add money to my PayPal balance from my bank?

I know this has been asked before but the previous answers and the online help are now out of date because of the interface having changed. It says in the online help:

 

Here’s how to add money to your PayPal balance from a confirmed bank account:

  1. Click Add Money under your PayPal balance.
  2. Follow the instructions.

There is no longer any link to "Add Money". The closest thing seems to be "Request Money" and that is about creating invoices. What I really want to do is set up a standing order to transfer a certain sum of money from my bank account to PayPal every month. What kind of instructions would I have to give my bank to do that and what payment reference would I have to use?

I found the link to Add Money. It is no longer underneath the account balance as described in Help, but just above and to the right of the account balance there are three vertical dots. If you click on those you get a context menu and one of the options there is to Add Funds. I then got further errors when I tried to follow the instructions but that was simply because the details of my linked bank accounts were out of date due to the account numbers having changed. I created new associations to my bank accounts and then deleted the previous accounts in Profile >> Account Settings >> Money, Banks and Cards. I just have to wait two or three days to validate the accounts and then everything should be sorted.

That is not an option offered by Paypal.

You can do one off payments to add to your balance by clicking on transfer below your balance > add funds.

Hi Kernowlass,

 

Thanks for your quick reply. I think maybe my interface might be slightly different from yours. I do have a Transfer button beneath my account balance, but when I click on it there is no option to Add Funds or transfer money to my account, only from my account. It shows two buttons, one says "In Minutes" and the other "In 1-3 Days" and when you click on either it is very clear that both of them will transfer money from my PayPay to my linked bank account. I need to do it the other way around. Perhaps my account is different because it is a business account or because it is in euros not dollars? I can't think of any other reason it would be non-standard.

Thanks (and kudos) for trying but that is just the Spanish translation of the Help article I already read. My current guess is that the reason I don't have a link to add funds has something to do with my bank account. I am going to give PayPal a ring tomorrow and see what they say. I will post back here in case it is of any help to anyone else.

Hello...saw your reply. sadly, only 2 options are available:

 

"Go to Money page" and "Send or request payments."

 

 

still no "Add Funds"

@Dyames03 Welcome! Thank you for providing that additional information. You can add money to your PayPal balance on the web at PayPal.com:

  1. Go to your Wallet.
  2. Click Transfer Money.
  3. Choose "Add money from your bank or debit card.' Enter the amount.
  4. Choose either 'In seconds with debit' or 'in 3-5 days with your bank'.

I would recommend you to refer the help centre article How do I add money to my PayPal balance from my bank? for more details. If you are not getting an option or unable to add, kindly contact our Customer Support directly by selecting 'Contact' at the bottom of any PayPal website.
