I cannot withdraw my money

Why can't I access my own money in my PayPal account? That money is my children's dinner tonight. You have no right withholding my money. There is no problem with my account and I am an honest and decent person. Shame on you!!!

Hi Jazzy1, I have the exact problem! I have been on a chat with PayPal all day and they now say it's a tech issue and that I have to wait 48/72 hours and TRY to withdraw then....!!!! Like you, I have no issues with my account - I even called the bank to make sure - and no limitations either.

Absolutely disgusting - this is my money that PayPal are witholding - it is also my children's dinner. No right holding onto my money. IT IS MY MONEY AND MY CHILDREN'S DINNER. SHAME ON PAYPAL !!!!!!!!

Really sorry to hear that! And yes, I agree, PP is holding our money without reasons and they are not offering any valid explanations either.
I was initially told it was my bank blocking the payment....then the music changed into:"try to withdraw in 48 hours"...then 72 hours .... then I was told I wasn't the only one affected by this, and that I need to wait 3 days and maybe I will be able to move my money!
What can be done??
Have you tried contacting them? I wonder how many people are affected by this...

Hi Caterina69, Go to wallet, link your card to your account and where it says preference - then choose card and then you can transfer your funds that way. I rang them up, it's took me the best part of an hour as I'm not technical but hey ho all is good now. Let me know if you have any probs.

Thanks Jazzy1 - my debit card is already linked to Paypal just as it's my current account. Nevertheless I was told every withdrawals are blocked....
Still - as I've never used my debit card option to transfer funds, can you please cinfirm they will arrive to my bank account, just as I use the bank details' option?

I have the same issue transferring to Santander. The email says that the bank are rejecting the transaction but the bank say there are no restrictions on the account. I have used the same account for the last 3 years and transfer money 2 or 3 times a week.

Seems to be affecting transfers from PayPal to all UK banks from what I can gather. of course PayPal in their wisdom won't release any information as to why it is happening but it is completely their fault. The bank says there is no problem from their end.
