PayPal credit current balance high, no remaining payments

Needing clarification here. I used PayPal credit for a phone, plus some minor things here and there over the year and a half I had to pay off the phone. i now have no remaining payments due, however I’m still being told my current balance is 1.3k. I wasn’t sure if this was an error or not, so I paid £10 to that current balance and sure enough the number was reduced. My question is, despite me having no payments due, do I still owe if my current balance is 1.3k, but my statement balance is 0.00? If so, then why are the two separate? Here I was thinking that I’d be credit debt free by the end of the year, however it looks like I’m having to pay what I’ve already paid all over again just to achieve that?

Long story short: I did not owe anything from my initial credit. I've paid enough money to PayPal Credit to pay off my phone and then some. The 1.3k I was seeing was accrued interest. Minimum payments per month, say £48, immediately added £24 back on. paying the whole thing off in 1 go tonight, closing the credit account, taking a long hard look in the mirror and probably take an economics class. f-ing teaches me.

Lesson learnt: ALWAYS read the terms and conditions, NEVER pay late, ALWAYS consider interest, DON'T rely on the credit company to inform you.
